Meaztegi Golf was one of Seve’s adored courses where he would travel often to from his home just 45 minutes away. Seve designed this public course to be enjoyed by players of all levels, even for those with high handicaps. Which was quite generous of our local super golfing legend, as most golfers will find out if they visit enough to play all 6 of Seve’s courses across our Costa Verde Golf-Hubs in his homeland region.
Meaztegi has a real resort golf feel about it and just 20 mins away from Bilbao city centre, a truly wonderful day’s golf is enjoyed up in the bowl of the Basque Countries surrounding mountains. Maintained to perfection, with a great restaurant to complement the amazing Seve experience day for all golfers.

Uraburu Golf: Par-71 – 18 holes @ 6,047metres. Full facilities available.
Uraburu is a stunning golf course which boasts some of the most incredible views to be found in golf anywhere in Spain. Great credit to one our local legends as Olazábals design is wonderfully carved into the mountains and overlooks the proud city of Bilbao, just 20 minutes away from the centre. Hold your breath as the course itself is a real challenge with the rolling undulating tierra. Unforgiving on most fairways, left to right or vice-versa, not many flat areas exist.
However played with caution and taking our professional tour managers advice on round day, for sure you will have fun playing Uraburu. Challenge the course at your will, and imagine playing alongside Olazábal in his prime. As this is the level you will have to achieve to make par! Not forgetting the wonderful city of Bilbao awaits you in the evening to ease your pain or celebrate your triumph!

An extremely exclusive private golf club, the Torrey Pines of Bilbao as quoted by Jon Rahm about his local home course. With spectacular views overlooking the Cantabrian Sea and out to the Bay of Biscay, with gran pine-tree lined fairways, and nestled 60 meters above sea-level from its cliff-tops heights. Javier Arana was the club champion at the turn of the 20th century and re-designed an intelligent golf course here that can be comfortable for all levels of golfer.
However the course can be deceiving as Arana the best golf course designer ever from Spain expertly incorporates into the round. Any golfer will be proud to have had the opportunity to play Neguri.
